Say hello to Axel
Axel joined Satair 1,5 years ago and is now working as an account director based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Hear his story below.
How long have you been working at Satair? Please briefly describe your career path.
I joined Satair in early 2022. Regarding my background: I am an educated engineer that became passionate about International Sales and Customer relationships. I firstly hold a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Mines-Telecom Institute in France and also graduated from ESCP Business School Paris' Advanced Master’s degree in International Business Management. I also attended courses in India, China and UAE through the latter. Before starting my journey at Satair - Airbus Group, I operated in different Sales-oriented positions in Europe and Africa. I started as a Junior Sales Manager for a French company dealing with Smart Metering Solutions in Europe and North Africa. I quickly moved abroad to work for a Danish Company specialized in doing Business in Africa and notably taking part in Sustainable Development programs from the EU, the UN, the World Bank and all other Donors in the region. Before starting my career in International Sales, I worked for three years as a Project Coordinator in the SAFRAN Group in France and Singapore. Alongside my position at Satair, I am passionate about sports, movies and travel. By moving to Copenhagen in 2021, I achieved my goal to work and live in Denmark.
Why did you join Satair?
One of the main "selling points" was the idea that, by joining SATAIR, I would get a job and the possibility of having a career and reaching my ambitions. SATAIR allows you to grow as a person and as a professional. If working for a different company, I would have felt "limited" regarding my ambitions. At SATAIR, I know I have to deliver and be the best version of myself to be given opportunities to evolve and reach my goals.
What keeps you motivated on the job in Satair?
As a customer-facing employee, the diversity and cross-functional aspects of my job keep me motivated. Combined with a complex environment such as aviation, I now have unlimited resources to satisfy my curiosity. And as long as I have reasons to be curious, I will remain motivated.

Which of our company values resonate with you? Can you recall a situation in which you or someone else lived up to our values?
Integrity. I evolve in a team that faces numerous challenges, and I feel truly inspired by the way the team acts with integrity towards these challenges.
What advice would you give a fellow Newcomer?
Be open-minded, be curious and be yourself.
Tell us about one of the most memorable experiences from your time at Satair. What made it so special and unforgettable?
My most memorable experience is and will remain my first day at Satair. After a long period of Covid, seeing so many people in the office who welcomed me I immediately thought, "I will do great here. This is where I belong as a professional"
