Chee Tung joined Satair in 2023 as a Repair and Warranty Intern in Singapore. Read his story below.
When did you join Satair?
I joined Satair as an intern in September 2023 and have been a temporary employee for the last two months. During my eight months at Satair, I have had incredible support from my manager and colleagues, which helped me integrate seamlessly into the team. I have been given various opportunities to grow and have learned the true value of teamwork in a corporate environment.
What keeps you motivated on the job at Satair?
I find motivation in meeting and interacting with different people from various functions. This interaction aligns with our culture of family, friends, and fun. It makes the work day enjoyable and inspires me to give my best.

Throughout my time here, I have learnt to treasure the days I have working for Satair. Having this mentality helps make my experience fulfilling and enriching. In turn, this helps me to have a positive attitude and to be able to look forward to each and every new dayWhich of our company values resonate with you? Can you recall a situation in which you or someone else lived up to our values?
Teamwork resonates with me the most. Before I joined Satair, I thought corporate work was about handling personal tasks efficiently. However, I quickly realized that support from colleagues is vital to ensure high-quality and satisfactory work for our customers. A memorable situation was when I was assigned a complex task, and my colleagues pitched in to help me complete it. Without their support, I would not have managed it.
What advice would you give a fellow Newcomer?
Be open-minded, and do not hesitate to reach out to others. Building relationships with your colleagues will make your time at Satair memorable and create a sense of belonging. Do not be afraid to ask questions or seek support, it will only strengthen your experience here.
Tell us about one of the most memorable experiences from your time at Satair. What made it so special and unforgettable?
One of my most memorable experiences at Satair was when my manager surprised me with a birthday treat. It was completely unexpected, especially since it happened in my second week at the company. The surprise celebration was a touching gesture, and my colleagues worked together to make it happen. This experience brought me closer to everyone and showed me how much they valued me as part of the team.
