Esther joined Satair in 2018 and is now working as a product manager in Hamburg, Germany. Hear her story below.
How long have you been working at Satair? Please briefly describe your career path.
I have been part of Satair since 2018. I joined the planning department after my dual study-program with Airbus and for 3.5 years I am part of the Product Management Team for Standard Parts.
Why did you join Satair?
In the course of my bachelors degree I had the opportunity to spend 3 months at Satair for an internship. During that time I really enjoyed the can-do attitude and the very dynamic way of working through all departments I worked with. Additionally, the aviation industry is fascinating to me. That’s when I decided that I would like to work at Satair after graduating - which luckily worked out.
What keeps you motivated on the job in Satair?
I really love that my job and each individual can make a difference for not only the company but also our customers. This combined with an awesome team creates a highly productive and fun work environment.

Which of our company values resonate with you? Can you recall a situation in which you or someone else lived up to our values?
I have already mentioned the can-do attitude that is outstanding throughout the company. Other than that, I think that Satair embraces respect and diversity with the global footprint of employees and customers. We value each other's backgrounds and skills, which I enjoy.
What advice would you give a fellow Newcomer?
Try and make use of the many possibilities to network and connect that are provided throughout the company. Be open to meeting a bunch of different people and open to new experiences. There are a lot of possibilities to connect, you just have to make use of them.
Tell us about one of the most memorable experiences from your time at Satair. What made it so special and unforgettable?
For the 60-year jubilee of Satair, there was a big celebration where we had the opportunity to meet colleagues from around the world, connect cross-functional and celebrate our joint achievements. This was a great experience!
