Say hello to Henriette
Henriette joined Satair 4 years ago and is now working on the A220 as a programme manager. Hear her story below.
Why did you join Satair?
I worked with Airbus Bremen as an intern before and when moving to Hamburg, I learned about Satair and loved the idea of working in an environment where two cultures become one. I appreciated the Airbus corporate and internal culture but loved that Satair provided more flexibility for change and speed regarding decision taking. Also, the aftermarket is such a vital business of Airbus, very dynamic and challenging, and is often overshadowed by the serial production. I believe this perception by many needs to be changed, so I feel there is so much that can be done in the spares business.
What keeps you motivated on the job in Satair?
The reason why I initially joined Satair still motivates me. I also believe there are so many growth opportunities for the company and for myself within the company, that I wouldn’t want to miss out. Also, my team and my direct working environment is fantastic. I experience teamwork and can do attitude 99% of the time. I feel like my manager, my team and my closest colleagues promote me and have my back in whatever I do. The work environment really is what makes me strive. Also, initiates like this one are priceless.

Which of our company values resonate with you? Can you recall a situation in which you or someone else lived up to our values?
Can-do! Speed of change when really necessary! One team spirit! One management team member from operations providing us a with a resource for our A220 CCheck Plateau last minute, though we approached him only towards it was almost too late (we already thought we had to start without a key resource). This selflessness for a better cause really impresses me.
What advice would you give a fellow Newcomer?
Be yourself and believe in yourself. Manage with heart and value integrity.
Tell us about one of the most memorable experiences from your time at Satair. What made it so special and unforgettable?
It was back in 2022 building a trustful environment between Airbus, Airbus Canada and Satair, though there were so many misunderstandings and prejudices in the beginning. Everyone really made an effort to understand each other - and now that we are a team, we can really make a change
