Wang Yan joined Satair a year ago and is now working at our customer order fulfilment desk helping our customers every day.

Why did you join Satair?

Referred from a friend in Airbus China.

What keeps you motivated on the job in Satair?

Satair's continuous pursuit of excellence is very impressive for me. We are always embracing the changes in a challenging environment. We have so many new projects, fresh tools, novel office settings etc. It is definitely an exciting place to work for a person who is curious for new things and who loves to learn new things.

Which of our company values resonate with you? Can you recall a situation in which you or someone else lived up to our values?

Customer focus. Our COF team is doing extremely well in the Freshdesk platform. For example, our average first response time to all customers' emails are within 3 hours, which is the best performance in all COF teams as I heard. Of course there are a lot more index with different meanings. From what I see, we are responding fast because we care about customer's needs and we understand the importance of fast response in a recovering market. So I am very proud of my team. They demonstrate Customer Focus with a Can-Do attitude.

What advice would you give a fellow Newcomer?

I joined Satair when I was 38 years old. It might be normal in many cultures, but from what I saw, it is not so easy where I live. Limited job offers are provided to females with age over 35, as you might have heard in some Chinese media. So I am very grateful to have this chance to work here. And that is also why I suggest girls around my age, who are willing to learn and willing to grow, come to work here in Satair. It is never too late to learn and grow as long as we have this CAN-DO attitude.

Tell us about one of the most memorable experiences from your time at Satair. What made it so special and unforgettable?

Weeks ago, we visited Shenzhen Airlines. As a COF, I introduced our Freshdesk. For Freshdesk, simply speaking, it tells you the current status of an issue. It is processed in which function, pending on whose action, for how long time. And customer commented: " That is why you are doing so well compared with your competitors. You have quantified all the operations! That is exactly what we should learn from you! "That is an unforgettable moment to get acknowledged by the customer. We have had many trainings, discussions and recaps for this new tool, and I believe it has finally paid off.
