Satair and GAMECO sign Letter of Intent to strengthen strategic partnership
China International Import Export, Shanghai, China, 6 November 2025
Satair, an Airbus Services company, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co. Ltd. (GAMECO) to formalise the commitment to successfully conclude a long-term Integrated Material Services (IMS) expansion, including material support for the Airbus A350 platform. This agreement follows the highly successful performance of IMS – implemented in 2022– and evolution of a strategic cooperative relationship that began nearly two decades with the first material support contract in 2008.
The LOI also commits both parties to consolidating existing support scopes into one comprehensive, exclusive IMS solution.
Driving Efficiency and Strengthening Long-Term Partnership
The planned IMS expansion is designed to provide GAMECO with maximum operational efficiency and cost control. By upgrading to a single, highest-standard IMS framework, GAMECO will benefit from a highly streamlined process.
The service includes locally consigned expendable materials combined with access to Satair’s globally stocked parts, ensuring immediate material availability, while lowering overall operational costs and capital expenditure. Furthermore, the agreement includes a dedicated Satair team deployed on-site to ensure close collaboration with GAMECO’s MRO operations.
Andy Lee, Managing Director of Satair China, commented: “This LOI is a testament to the long-term strategic relationship we have forged with GAMECO. The planned expansion is a direct result of the strong performance and confirmed savings delivered by our partnership, which has ramped up considerably since the introduction of IMS in 2022.” He added: “We are providing GAMECO with a foundation for simplified operations and optimised efficiency, ready to boost their growing A350 support capabilities.”
The exclusivity of the expendable materials support covers the A350, A330, and A320 platforms.
