Satair and Sichuan Airlines sign long-term agreement for Integrated Material Services (IMS)

Copenhagen, Denmark, 21 October 2025

Satair, an Airbus Services company, has signed a landmark long-term agreement with Sichuan Airlines for the delivery of Integrated Material Services (IMS). This marks the first-ever formal agreement between the two companies.

The IMS agreement covers On-site Stock Consignment services for expendable materials sourced from both Airbus and OEM distribution channels. The scope includes Airbus Proprietary Parts, Vendor Parts, Standard Parts, and Satair Distribution Parts, encompassing the full range of expendables required for Sichuan Airlines’ operations.

"This agreement with Satair marks a significant milestone in our operational strategy. By partnering with a trusted provider, we’re ensuring that our fleet is supported with the highest level of material availability and supply chain efficiency."

Mr. Shao Chuan, Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering at Sichuan Airlines

Tommy Hughes, Chief Commercial Officer at Satair, commented: “We are proud to welcome Sichuan Airlines as a new IMS partner. This agreement underlines the continued growth of our IMS solution in China and reaffirms our commitment to delivering tailored, value-driven support to airline operators worldwide.”

Through this agreement, Sichuan Airlines aims to increase spare parts availability, optimize inventory management, and streamline logistics operations, ultimately contributing to improved daily operations and a more stable, reduced total cost of ownership.

Sichuan Airlines becomes the third airline operator in China to adopt Satair’s IMS program, signaling the rising popularity of comprehensive material solutions in the region. As airlines globally face increasing pressure to boost operational efficiency and cost control, IMS is gaining traction as a proven strategy to meet these evolving needs.
