Matthew joined Satair 5 years ago and now is Head of Quality at the Satair Washington Dulles site. Read his story below.
Why did you join Satair?
Joining this top-tier global aviation distributor was an amazing opportunity to continue my career in aviation. What sets Satair apart is its commitment to promoting employees based on merit alone. I've had the privilege of being a part of the Satair family for more than five years now. I started in the Quality Department, was promoted to Team Leader and most recently to Head of Quality for the Washington Dulles site. I'm excited about the promising future that lies ahead.
What keeps you motivated on the job in Satair?
Working in aviation has always been an exhilarating journey for me, and what excited me the most at Satair is the opportunity to be an integral member of the Aviation Safety Community. At Satair, safety is paramount, and it resonates with me on a deep level.

Which of our company values resonate with you? Can you recall a situation in which you or someone else lived up to our values?
I recall a situation where a colleague and I truly lived up to our value of We are One / Team Work. We both noticed a safety concern in the facility and immediately spoke up, ensuring that our concerns were acknowledged and actioned upon.
What advice would you give a fellow Newcomer?
To any newcomers joining Satair, my advice would be to learn as much as you can, keep an open mind, and don't hesitate to share your ideas for possible improvements. Work diligently during your shift, and when it's time to clock out, make the most of your time with your family and outside of work.
Tell us about one of the most memorable experiences from your time at Satair. What made it so special and unforgettable?
One of the most memorable experiences during my time at Satair was being invited to the 65th-anniversary celebration in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was a remarkable opportunity to meet and celebrate with 500 fellow Satair employees, making it an unforgettable and special moment.
