Our tool recommendation process
Our dedicated Airbus tool experts will provide you with the right provisioning service applicable to your fleet and daily operational tasks. The consulting capability mainly covers the following three elements and according to a standard aircraft utilization, a generic maintenance program and a duration limited to 12 years of operation.
Prepare your daily operations: Satair provides you with the specific recommendations and initial provisioning documentation as a key solution for your EIS and/or your new MRO capability.
Be ready for unscheduled events and AOGs: We support your activities with technical advice, regional stock, and lease options through a dedicated AOG desk with 24/7/365 availability.
Discover Airbus tool recommendation and supply: our tool recommendation and provisioning service is a free of charge service, applicable to the entire life cycle. Consisting of a list of required tools extracted from the approved maintenance documentation to perform maintenance activities.

W-File (GSE & tools recommendation)
This W-file consists of a spreadsheet that contains customised provisioning data at MSN level with vendor tools and Airbus specific GSE needed for all scheduled maintenance tasks from the EIS to C-Check (12 years of operation).
The W-File provides tooling recommendations according to:
A standard aircraft utilisation
A generic maintenance program and block maintenance concept
A duration limited to 12 years of operation (filtering in the file by EIS, 3, 6 and 12-year)
It contains provisioning data for tools, as follows:
List of recommended P/N (.xls file) needed to maintain the aircraft
Customization at MSN level and considering commonalities with other Airbus fleet
A set of recommendations on maintenance tools type (scheduled, unscheduled, MMEL, CDL, removal/installation major component, servicing)
A set of recommendations on Smart GSE Solutions
Commercial information such as lead-time and budgetary sales prices*
Information on tool lease availability*
